This Holiday Inn Express is in a great location. Be sure and ask for a river view so you can watch all the river traffic. Take trolley ride if it's running and go on the river walk. It's a short walk to the "Ship Inn", the best place to eat on the Columbia. This motel is fairly upscale and the staff is great.

I loved that this is a new hotel and has so much of the old world charm and comforts. The staff was wonderful. The entire property was clean and neat. This is the type of place I want to stay at when I go out of town. Beautiful rooms and great bathrooms!! This is one of the most inviting hotels I have ever stayed at and the price was great!! Can't wait to go back.

Hotel was clean, comfortable, and the staff were particularly helpful. Had a river view room - definitly recommend. Astoria wasn't all that it wss advertised to be; next time I would go further down the coast to Seaside... But the hotel was good. We could hear the occasional rattle of a large truck on the bridge, not a bother for us but if you can't tune stuff like that out, it's good to know.
