We took a chance and chose this place on internet reviews. It was a wonderful experience and we will definitely be going back. The pictures were on target and the bay view was wonderful. Sandy, the bartender, was very nice and helpful. BJ, the breakfast guru, was so considerate and pleasant. All of the staff at The Lighthouse were polite. We ...
This hotel is beautiful and romantic, although the hotel is very kid-friendly I would reccomend this hotel for couples. Getting a room on the bay side is well worth the 10 extra dollars, you can leave your window slightly open and hear the waves at night. It is wonderful and the breakfast in the morning is awesome. It is not your average muffin and ...

Great Family Experience

We stayed in a Captain's Suite for five nights (LOVED the King Size Bed). Having an infant with us, the fully functional kitchen was a dream come true. The staff was so helpful, it was great to come from outings to find even the dishes had been done! Our room was on the first floor (which was wonderful with all of the baby gear we had to ...
We have a group of folks who celebrate April birthdays (50's to 70's) and pick a spot every year to have a long weekend in the first part of April. We have leased boats and /or traveled to various locations in Texas over the past several years and this is the only place we have ever chosen to return to. As a frequent flyer and traveler, I ...

Great Location but

The lighthouse Inn is a nice newer hotel with a great view, but you do not get your money's worth, the rooms we had were both not very clean. ie. carpet, bed linens, walls. also the food and service at the in-house restuarant was the as bad as I've ever experienced... I was disappointed in my stay there.
I do not feel that this atmosphere, food and service warrants it's ratings. It is a nice place to go and feel like you have been somewhere (especially your pocketbook) but is not somewhere that I would make a habit going.
When I visited this hotel it was really uncomfortable. They seem to be trying to be all about money. The rooms are really small and seemed cramped. Although the view is nice I don't like the buildings design.
My husband and I fell in love with this hotel and we will return. A room facing the water is a must! Just sit in your rocker & sip coffee and watch the sunset. Our rooms was beautiful, very clean & I think we could have lived there forever. Wonderful hotel and lovely dining. The little shops in the Rockport/Fulton area are so nice. You can also take in the state park and see the Big Tree while you're there.

five star all the way

Excellent service. Extrememly clean rooms. Very tastefully decorated! Situated in charming Rockport Texas, this hotel is a must for anyone traveling to the coastal bend area. I would compare The Lighthouse Inn to any five star luxury hotel in the US any day of the week!

First Rate Hotel *****
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/03/04
This is the nicest hotel in the Rockport Fulton area. The staff was wonderful. The rooms, pool and grounds are beautiful. Located on the water, with a fantastic view. We went in June and are going back this weekend. Nice place to get away to. Very relaxing. Rooms have everything, and so comfortable. Beds are first rate. Enjoyed the Library too. We have stayed at most of the places in Rockport, and this is our new favorite. Highly recommended.
