The neat thing is the outdoor atmosphere. The stands are pretty spread out and it is like hunting for your meal. The food is average despite bieng pricey. Beware the AK mosquitos.

I had dinner at the Alaska Salmon Bake while on a group tour. None of us at our table liked the salmon because of the citric marinade. We are all experienced West Coast residents and know what good barbecued salmon should be. The rest of the meal was fine, and the atmosphere was casual and fun. We would never go back, but I suggest that those who want to try it ask for their salmon cooked without any fancy sauces.

The best salmon I've ever had! The other food was great too. I wish I didn't live so far away, I'd go all of the time!

This is a good deal for the tourists, I suppose, but I can't ever afford to bring my family. My wife and I went once for our anniversary and it was certainly a good meal.

I just went to the Salmon Bake last week for a company picnic. It was wonderful! The food is fantastic. I do think the price is a bit high, but people will definately pay it! It's is a wonderful setting, being outdoors, with indoor seating as well. The salmon is some of the best I have ever had! Great place to go, eat and visit with friends.

I LOVE the Salmon Bake! The food is absolutely awesome! I love the atmosphere and did I say I love the food? The salmon is cooked to perfection. Nothing fancy put all over it-just cooked over an open flame so you can taste the salmon instead of all the crap most placsd smother it in.I just wish they were open all year. Yes, I realize they would have to build a closed building for that to happen but I would help! I love that place!

Before I say how wonderful the food was-I have to mention that we did'nt pay for it (it was a free meal sponsered for military families). However, after our experience I would pay the full price to have eaten there. It was definately worth it in my opinion. The food was all scrumptious, I doubt there could be better salmon elsewhere.
