OVERALL

The food was decent, but no where near good enough for the 1.5 hour wait we had.
This is a great place to have some fantastic cajun food. The pepper steak is awesome. You won't be able to eat it all because of its size but it's a great snack later. They don't take reservations so if you go on the weekend it's going to be packed. You may have to wait durnig the week but it won't be as long. During the summer it doesn't matter when it is, its busy.

Best Steak in the Country
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/19/06
Much like the "Food Network" says...the steak here is the best in the country. Their Peppersteak is amazing. I have eaten steak all across North America and it was by far the best. The service is 5 star. The Bar and the Wine list is also top shelf.
Try the pepper corn steak its a whopper and delicious. Cajun dishes are a specialty and could feed you for a "week" . No reservations so have a few drinks relax and meet some fellow travelers and native Alaskans along the way. We shall return!
