My 93 year old father and his family dined at Hung Far Low and, although not raised in Oregon, we went to Hung's whenever we were in Portland. I moved to the Rose City in 1968 and became a frequent diner. Each of my babies had their first restaurant meal at Hung Far Low -- bean curd and a bit of sweet and sour sauce. My youngest son called me ...
Kind of dark and shady, but hung way far low like no other place, still enjoyable for quick eats and booze.

At first the place looks small, but after you're inside rubbing shoulders with the patrons, the feeling inside seems huge! The service at this resturaunt sends a warm feeling of love and acceptance over you. My wife says that she could eat there every day, but I just can't do it. The food is high in protien and sugars, is a tad bit salty, but I highly recommend eating here!
