I can't say enough nice things about Ruth's Chris in Portland. Went there last night for our 3-year anniversary. 1st: Customer Service - We were greeted warmly, with a "Happy Anniversary", and rose petals at our table. Our server was attentive, charming, and very knowledgable about the menu. It turns out that my sister had called ...

I have been to Ruth's Chris about 5 times and had a great experience every time. The service is timely and polite, and the food is consistant.
If you're looking for a really good experience, try the Chop Salad, and the Cowboy Ribeye - cooked medium rare. It's heavenly.

My husband & I went for our anniversary. We knew it would be pricey, but it was a special occasion and we're worth it. The atmosphere was good - our server seemed pleasant enough. Great steak.....but way, way too expensive $$$. Spent close to $150 dollars for 2 people just on 2 ribeye steaks, side dishes (which you have to pay for) , and 2 drinks. I gave it a awful rating for cost to value ratio.

Never an average meal

EVERY meal I have had here has been top notch, never even close to average! I highly recommend it! Prepare to spend 100.00 on a meal for 2, but as another review said, it is worth it. I have never left wanting more or feeling that I didn't get value for my money.

I have never had a meal here that wasn't top-notch. Try the tomato salad for starters topped with crumbled gorgonzola, and the New York steak medium rare for the main course with a side of gratinee lyonnaise. Extensive wine list. But plan to spend $100+ for dinner-for-two. Well worth it, though! The dessert selection is lovely.
