This is one of the best restaurants on the island...if you're a local. We love you tourists, you keep our island economy healthy. BUT - stay away from this one. Leave it to us and you can have all the rest. Besides, you wouldn't like it anyway. Its not the mainland or Oahu. Thanks but no thanks. This ones ours. SHAKA!!!

I love it. As for the comment made on the 50th anniversary party of nine. Make sure the entire group is accounted for otherwise they won't seat you. It is a popular spot for locals. It seems mondays would be there slower night of the week. They are closed on Sundays. Look at it this way Its like being a Hilton Diamond member with no wait. Membership has its priviledges. Ha Ha.

Great service, delicious sushi, great food and fair prices. Love this place

We made a reservation for an important vacation - a 50th anniversary for a group of nine. We arrived at 8PM, which was the time of our reservation. We were told that our table would be ready in "a couple minutes" and we waited by the bar in the packed waiting room.

Kintaro is da best on da island!! My daughter wanted her birthday dinner ova der, and she said were comin here again. She loves the food over der and the fact that Kintaro has awesome prices!!!

This is a 5 star restaurant anyway you slice it. Known for the freshest sushi on the island- they also have a terrific and tasty Japanese Steakhouse menu as well. I went there this past month for my 31st birthday and it is still the BEST restaurant on the island, particularly for this type of cuisine. The rating here should certainly be nothing less than 5 stars!!!!

I don't even like sushi for the most part but this place had great food. They have a nice selection of filet mignon, Alaskan king crab legs (which we had) and a few other items for those that aren't into sushi (like myself). We did try the Super Doop rolls which were pretty tasty.
