We were overcharged for the wine and then for the obligatory gratuit (21% instead of 18%). The food was mediocre, the service was below par and the prices very high for the quality and preaentation of food and the waiter that could not get the bill right. We went to eat there tonight. It wasn't very busy, so the reservation was easy and we got a good table (for six). They have a nice atmosphere. (I liked the mellow music.) Basil Tomatoes is ALWAYS the highlight of our Maui vacation. It is a beautiful little restaurant on the Kaanapali North Course and offers an intimate atmosphere that no other Maui establishment can offer. Their food is fantastic and well worth the price.
