Recommend making reservations early for this very popular restaurant. The restaurant is on a ridge along Poipu Beach. There were surfers coming up the lawn from the beach below. The meal was delicious, we had the Watermelon Salad, Wasabi-crusted Snapper, Macadamia Nut Crusted Local Fresh Fish and Lava Flow. All of it was very fresh and tasty. I am ...

I was on a family vacation and the Beach House got great reviews in our travel book. Although the food and sunset was pretty good, the service was completely lousy! Our party of eight was split up into two different tables and we were seated in a section of the restaurant that didn't have a good view of the sunset, let alone the beach. My ...

Terrible service. Food was the best we had on the Island, but I would not go back because the service was so bad. We had an early reservation on a weekday (6:30 pm) and there was a section of the restaurant that was closed off (about 30% of seating area, so they were not maxed out busy). We had our 8-yr old son with us, so it was obviously not a ...

We entered the Beach House with high expectations...probably a bit too high, but given the prices they were charging, not unreasonable. The scenery is beautiful, right on the beach so one can enjoy the sunset over dinner. The food is also very good, although the Tuna sashimi was a dissapointment, I would NOT reccommend it. I had the Kauai Duet. The ...

When we ate here in June 2005 the appetizers and cocktails were excellent but the dinner was just mediocre. We had a sunset view on the patio and since this is what makes this restaurant famous we overlooked the food and had a wonderful evening.
We returned in November of 2007 and again the appetizers and cocktails were great...but this time ...

Overrated!

You have to be kidding me. All the reviews for Beach House are positive, but that was contrary to our experience.
Almost everything we ordered was bland, overcooked, or overdone.
The meal starts weird with some crusty sour ciabatta like bread - to be eaten with butter.
Starting with appetizers, the fish nachos had one taste - the gelatinous ...
Drinks, Dinner and Dessert are fantastic. I had a Mango martini, Seafood Chowder, Macadamia Nut-Crusted Mahi Mahi and the Molten Chocolate souffle and it was all impeccable. Service was excellent and the view is great. I can't say enough about this place except that we will definitely be going again. Well worth the price.
This is a very romantic breathe taking restaurant. Reservations are needed about a week prior to your arrival, but it is well worth the wait. Be there at sunset and it is all worth it. They have a photographer ready to take your picture right at sunset (unfortunately we were not told this and we were very dissapointed to find this out afterwards, ...
