Every time we go to Tahoe we have to go here. The ribs are the BEST. The sweet potato pie is to die for. One of the Hostess at Harrahs told us about Womacks about 3 or 4 years ago. I'm headed up to Tahoe this week-end and we will be eating at Womacks for sure.

So, here I am from Belgium where barbecue is a verb, married to a woman from Texas - and I tell her I found this barbecue place. Despite great skepticism ("the test will be whether they have brisket"), convinced her to go. And we've been back every time we go skiing in Tahoe - even several times on the same ski trip.

The best chicken wings and sweet potato fries I ever had. Will be a definite stop every trip to Tahoe.

Seriously, best damn bbq in CA, maybe the world. Everytime we go to Tahoe, its a must we stop at Womack's. You won't be disappointed, unless its closed...

The food was fantastic the service was excellant the atmosphere was a funky tiny barbeque joint. I highly recommend Womacks. Try the brisket - so tender and moist. We went back twice during our stay in South Lake Tahoe and loved it both times.
