I liked the ambiance, service was a little slow in taking your order or asking if you would like refills. We ordered breakfast and it was very good and fullfilling, we even had take home due to the abundance. A little pricey but that comes with the small town flavor. Cooks in the back seemed to be having a good time while cooking, that is a good sign!

I went through Qunicy in early February 2009 and Morning Thunder was closed. I just tried their phone number and it is disconnected. Hate to see Morning Thunder go away. It has been my favoriate stop in Qunicy for a number of years.

I just ate at Morning Thunder yesterday morning. We had a fantastic meal. The huevos rancheros were excellent, and the big fluffy pancakes were, as our young friend said, ginormous! The coffee was good too. Be sure to stop here when you're in the mountains!

I've passed through Quincy for many years working on the railroad. I'm a blue-collar foodie. Great breakfast!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/29/06
All I wanted for breakfast was scrambled eggs with a lot of cheese. I like my eggs a little creamy too, but I didn't specify that at all. Not only did I get exactly what I wanted, but they were the best eggs I'd had for breakfast in a long time. Service was quick, staff was very friendly.
We're not one of those 'big city' people that expect to be waited upon with 'white gloves' so we enjoyed the 'down home' atmosphere. The two days we were there one waitress had to bring her small baby to work until the babysitter came but that didn't stop her from doing her duties and it added a "homey ...
