The Buckhorn's steaks are as good as earlier reviewers have said and expensive only in comparison to other restaurants in this rural area. We drive up from the San Francisco Bay Area because there is no place near us where we can get as good a steak as the Buckhorn's. We go here on special occasions and have enjoyed our meals each time. * Never go without a reservation. It is loud and can get crowded but the food is worth it.

This place is great for a group gathering or an intimate dinner. Reservations are best, though, as it is usually very busy. Ample, nearby free parking is also a plus. The house and other wines are "passable," but I hear they have developed a better wine list since my last visit. This is a great place to go for an evening on its own or for dinner before a show at The Palms (across the street).

Its not cheap...but the steak is excellent. Its Angus and its aged. The Filet Mignon is exquisite.
