Mosaic is one of the best restaurants both for cuisine and ambiance. Tucked away in the quiet town of Forestville it offers the feeling of eating at someone's home with the flair of "the big city" presentation. Wide variety of choices in food and wine. I've eaten there for both lunch and dinner and have never had anything but a 5-star meal. The staff go out of their way to make each experience enjoyable and memorable.

Having lived in the Russian River area several years ago while working in tourism promotion, Mosaic was a lovely way to return for a visit. We ate outdoors, a rowdy group (maybe 20) of mostly gay men, celebrating a 58th birthday of a beloved friend, and the service was as good as if for a small table of four. The outdoor dining is great for a ...

I just finished my 4th meal at Mosaic in 2 months and I swear, my experience gets better every time. Tai, the head chef, came out to our table to see how we liked our meal and I thought that was a very sweet thing to do. He seemed to genuinely care about our experience. In general, the wait staff have been very nice and the food is just terrific.

After a few dinning evenings spent here it has now become our favorite restaurant. The food is out of this world. Each and every time we have been swept off our feet with each and every plate that has landed on our table. It is hard to pick a favorite as they are all our favorites....Try the Scallops (WOW), Fillet mignon even the house salad was ...

West Sonoma county. Chef owned. Seasonal fresh menu. 7 appetizers, 7 main courses, & 7 desserts on the menu. 125 wines, 12 by the glass. 2X retail mark-up.
Adventurous food combinations, sometimes misguided. Sincere preparation, if weird flavor fusions. (Example: Asian style sautee vegetabkes do NOT taste good with Italian manicotti.)
So ...

A Taste & Feel of Heaven!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/08/07
Best Dining experience from around the world. This was a taste and feel above all the rest. Romantic, Sexy, Artisitic, Classy, Fun... i could go on. Mosaic offers you everything you could possibly look for in a restaurant. If only a handsome man could offer me as much as this place did =). From around the world this holds my heart. Congrats to the Chef and it's owner!!!
The restaurant itself is so beautiful, you almost don't care what the food tastes like. The decor is warm, inviting, intimate & stylish with soft lighting, a fireplace, warmly-colored walls, tasteful artwork & a pleasant outdoor dining terrace with vines, flowers, heat lamps & a fire pit.
The appetizers, entrees & desserts are all uniformly ...
Having been to the county's elite restaurants over the last 20 years, we were shocked to find that this is our favorite. Each and every appetizer and main dish was superb. No weak spots. Everyone we've talked to feels the same way. Modest on the outside, in little ol' downtown Forestville; Mosaic's food is the county's best.
Mosaic.... what words can I use, this restaurant is absolutely GEORGEOUS. I happen to live in Forestville and my birthday was celebrated at Mosaic in Dec 2005. I have dined at first class restaurants before but this was different. None of those places provided such ambiance. Mosaic is more than just a meal, it's a dining experience.
Mosaic Restaurant and Wine Lounge is one of my favorite places. It is the perfect place to eat a truly great dinner, drink a glass of wine, or simply share a couple of delicious appetizers. The coffee-encrusted steak is superlative, and I have sometimes made a dinner of sharing several apps plates (the scallops on truffled polenta, the tiger ...
