There are certainly much better places for pizza & Italian food in general, but compared to other food available for delivery, Mary's is about the best around. (Unless you're lucky enough to be within Mombo's delivery area). The new thin crust pizzas are quite tasty - if somewhat inconsistent - and no one taking orders on the phone ...

All the food here is: Pasty textured, blandly spiced, made from cheap ingredients. Cooked my hacks, served to you by clueless teenagers.

When they started out, Mary made the best pizza anyone had ever had on the west coast. Now it's commercialized & production flavored.

Mary's has a lot more than pizza. One of the few Sonoma restaurants giving you a good value. It is a nice, locals, restaurant with a hint of the upscale if you sit outside on the patio. For example, my favorite traditional dish is the pasta and meatball, generous salad and italian bread for $12.95. Order a full !/2 carafe of good house wine for $8.50. How can yuo beat that for eating on the Plaza?

When Mary was alive, and for a few years after she passed away, the pizza was the best I have ever tasted. Unfortunately, now that it has become so corporate, there is no longer any quality control to speak of. If I ever left Sonoma, I would have to go to where there was a Mary's or get one opened as no pizza comes close to Mary's. It's all about the ingredients and mostly the sauce. It makes the pizza, with perfect dough, awesome cheese, and the finest toppings. Everyone boasts about their ingredients, but there is not better pizza to eat anywhere that I have found- Amici's, the chains, the locals, New York, Chicago, wherever.

I am giving it a five star rating for the sole basis that Joe is the best bartender in town. He makes a mean Pina Colada. Go Joe.

The place looked great.We started out with brushetta, but they gave just toasted white bread with diced tomatoes!!It wasn't any close to the brushetta we have had in other places.The food was not as good too!We had Chicken Fettucini and Eggplant Parmigiana!The eggplant dish was the worst I have ever eaten.Chicken Fettucini was a little better.Overall not a place, my husband and I would go back to.
