This overrated place is popular with the tourists here. We have eaten here and I was disappointed with the limited menu. The food is OK, but somewhat overpriced. It's probably a better place to sit and drink a few wines or try a "flight" of various wines and ports.

Girl and the Fig on Sonoma Plaza, one one of three Sondra Bernstein restaurants, has declined with respect to Fig Cafe & Winebar in Glen Ellen (jury is still out on Bernstein's new venture, Estate, which is at physical site of the former General's Daughter.) The decline is is with respect to bar, wine list, sense of management (by example ...

This is an average California eatery making hay out of a location that caters to tourists. I went in with 6 people recently, and it will be my last visit after several years of satisfied meals as a local. Half of the table was disappointed with their meals although the food presentation was nice and artsy. The fig salad was great as usual and the ...

Took my husband for his birthday. Have a great vegetarian meal of chickpea pattie and perfectly prepared array of veggies. Cheese platter had a great variety. Atmosphere was warm and inviting and we couldn't have asked for a better experience

Great atmosphere, uncomfortable chairs and awkward tables on the back patio. Bring a sweater if you sit out there, since there are not enough space heaters.
I always start with a selection local of cheeses or heriloom radishes. Unfortunately, the wine list is not great for a restaurant in Sonoma, try one of their signature cocktails instead.. ...

Lunch. This was my 1st Girl & Fig meal. Bambie has eaten here many times. We got a small rickety patio table that slanted 20 degrees. Minor annoyance. The menu is French bistro meets NorCal cuisine. Bambie had the quiche. I nicknamed it "Creamy dreamy egg pudding with bacon and a NYC cheesecake crust". Silky custard texture beyond belief, ...

A non chintzy, tasteful place
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/21/06
After exhaustively searching for a non chintzy, country style bed and breakfast a friend of mtipped me off to the Trois Maisons in Napa. It was simply the most delightful little place both quaint and confortable. There was considerable thought given to details like a handy booklet of activities and places to go to as well as a generous breakfast ...

Simply Delicious

I revisited this restaurant recently and was reminded of how wonderful it was. Described as a French Bistro, they do offer some great fare like croques monsieur, duck confit, salmon nicoise, and fromage up to your ears. All that said, I ordered...the Cheeseburger. It is definitely a specialty there. Soooo unbelievable good. On Dutch Crunch with ...

Fresh and Seasonal Menu
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/18/05
I really enjoyed eating here, the food is really good, menu is really interesting and the service is great. Try their cheese selections with various fruits and nuts. Nice wine list too.
The girl and fig has a country-kitchen kind of feel. The theme is "french" although very few menu choices were french. It's a great place to go at the end of a day of wine tasting.
