I've been to Syrah a few times for dinner. I am always a happy happy camper when I leave. The food is more than terrific, it is a perfect balance of high end dining and home cooking. But, after reading the "burger wars" in our local newspaper, I decided I needed to go for lunch, just to have the burger. Am I glad I did? You ...

We've only recently tried Syrah, Every meal we have had there has been most spectacular. The flavors of their sauces are wonderful. Their Heirloom tomato salad to die for. The desserts are excellent. The service has been very attentive without being overbearing.
Good Job!

Four of us had a most memorable meal at Syrah with wonderful service. The duck, short ribs and crab cakes are A+++. The waiter's recommendation for wine was a perfect pair with our food. Josh Silver, the chef, took time to come to our table to discuss our meal and make suggestions for winery visits for the next day. The best came last...with the chef recommending a cheese plate with a little port. Worth every cent.

We had heard glowing reviews of Syrah, so we were dismayed by our dining experience there. While the food wasn't bad, none of it was particularly memorable or worth the high price tag.
I had the fish of the day, which was a bland ono accompanied by an also bland pile of mashed potatoes. The sauce was supposed to be a lobster gravy, but the ...
Beautiful salads - my GF loves the creamy fresh tarragon dressing on the current house salad. The lamb sirloin was tender & flavorful, served with artichoke crisps. Pork chops moist, Ribeye fabulous & Fish of the day never disappoints. Corkage is $18 - and if they have the same wine on their list, you'll pay double for corkage - $36, Yikes! ...

Artful Presentation, Great Desserts!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/11/07
Being omnivores, we're big fans of Chef Silvers' unique preparations of local organic meats & cheeses. The menu is indeed meat, fish & poultry & game oriented, which made it a little challenging for our animal loving activist vegan guests to navigate on our most recent visit - especially with such offerings as buttermilk fried quail with ...
Very fresh ingredients are evident in the artfully presented food. And the beautifully combined ingredients don't disappoint the palate. Pleasant courtyard tables. Pricey, but having such a wholly satisfying dining experience - from service, to visual presentation, to exquisite flavors takes the sting out of the bill.

Standard for Excellence
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/29/06
It is the perfect place for foodies and vinophiles when they just want a great meal without all the pomp and circumstance. Service is great, food is excellent and the atmosphere will put a smile on your face.
Salads beautiful and exceptional. Impeccable (and unpretentious) service. Beautiful presentation. Pleasant inside courtyard seating. Fresh, creative preparation. Lamb was excellent as was the fresh fish of the day. Nice windes by the glass. Save room for dessert!
