We had a wonderful time and could not think of a better place to relax and hang out. Winchester has alot of things to occupy your time and we caught a civil war reinactment while in town. We first saw this place on http://www.wincfood.com and decided to give it a try. We will definately return and hope that others try this little gem.

Comfort and history at a great price

I enjoyed my stay so much that I plan to go back with my husband and a friend, just so I can spend more time at the Inn!
The innkeeper/owner, David, made me feel welcome before I'd even arrived: he offered me the use of his bicycle to get to my worksite. And once I arrived (late), he gave me a tour of the Inn, then invited me to join him and ...

Great Family Reunion!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/17/08
This was our first trip to Winchester but it won't be our last! The Nancy Shepherd House is a wonderfully relaxing, charming ,historic home. You are surrounded by history yet it has such a comfortable feel. When we met the host, David, he was a stranger. After 3 days with him, he was family . I HIGHLY recommend the Nancy Shepherd House as your home away from home while you are in the Winchester area. The Layton family, Anderson, SC

We highly recommend a stay at the Nancy Shepherd House Inn in Winchester, VA. It is within walking distance to Old Town Winchester, great dining and quaint shops. To stay at the Inn is to be surrounded and delighted by over 200 years of history yet with modern conviences. Check it out!!
I find it to be a great location for many things....it is in a fantastic location as a homebase for touring Civil War-related sites in the Valley, or if one just needs a getaway from the big-city routine.....lots of shopping destinations, dining---many opportunities to relax....If you want to simply relax at the Nancy Shepherd House, it has an Ale ...

Charming & Authentic Inn
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/11/08
Great location & incredible history. Winchester is an undiscovered treasure & this house is historic architecture at its best. Close to Washington, DC and the entrance to the Shenandoah Valley. Trade luxury & phoniness for an authentic experience. Best if you are booking the entire house. We will be back!
