A typical Black Bear Diner. Good comfort food at good prices and OK service. Their breakfasts and dinners are huge.

Sat at the counter and waited 5 minutes for soemone to acknowledge me. Waitress finally came and handed me a menu and asked me if I wanted something to drink, I replied coffee. Never saw her again. I wound up walking out and going to the competition.
Oh yeah, there was no one else sitting at the counter. I've been here before but won't be back.

I'm local and hot and cold on this place. We have to send food back on a visit and then don't return for a long time and this has been going on since Black Bear opened (~6 years ago). This is awesome! I didn't know about this place, but on the way to Yosemite, the family we were traveling with recommended it. I've only had breakfast there, but it was delicious. I remember when this WAS the place to eat. Now the quailty has suffered and the prices have went up way too much for a so so dinner. I now take my business to Jefferies just down the road.
