I have seen definate improvement at this place over the past several months...I think that some of the managers have left Michelle and the overall vibe has improved and service seems to have gotten better. the still have extremely small portions and spending 20-30 Dollars for a couple of rolls hardly seems worth it.....If you spend about 70-100 per ...

I hated this place the service sucked big time!!!!!! The hostess was on a personal phone call for 5 minutes when she should of been running my card so I could leave that place. The portions looked like appetizers, and it costs a fortune... I wouldn't go back if they payed me!!!!!

Sushi Ran is amazing. A bit on the pricey side, but well worth it! The sushi is fresh, fresh, fresh. The only two downfalls are MAKE RESERVATIONS~ this place gets packed..and I do mean packed. Many tables are squeezed into small areas and they fill fast. USE THE RESTROOM BEFORE YOU GO. lol It's outside and around the corner...which isn't ...

The best sushi in the Bay Area
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/15/06
While you might need to take a loan out in order to enjoy all the delicious food at Sushi Ran, it will be worth it. Hands down the best sushi in the Bay Area and considered one of the best in the US. Bold statement I know, but look it up.

Excellent fish quality

While the rolls were inventive and tasty, the excellent rating goes to the quality of the raw fish. Delicious! Service was great too...unpretentious and friendly.

Sushi Ran
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/17/05
Sushi Ran is my favorite restaurant in Sausalito. It's pricey and the portions are not big, but the flavors are incredibly intense. My husband had ...

Somewhat high priced, but the food is worth it
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/19/05
It's still the best sushi around, but their other food is good too.
We started out with their boiled spinach, which was served cold in a sesame sauce; agedashi tofu, where the tofu and the sauce were separate, so that the tofu, which was breaded in tempura batter, was crunchy; and the Nori Wrapped-Seared Ahi Tuna with Tomato Ginger Relish ...

Sushi Ran = Incredible
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/04/04
From the amazingly fresh sushi to a waitstaff that is always jovial and helpful this is one of the best restuarants in Sausalito. While it might be on the pricy side this restaurant is well worth it. I highly recommend the Dragon Roll and Shiro Maguro Sashimi!
