Big birthday letdown. We had reservations but ended up waiting outside without heat for over an hour. They didn't honor our gift certificate. There are so many other great restaurants to pick from that provide excellent customer service that it amazes me that this place is still open.

I just went to ciao bella last weekend. I hadn't been in 4 years because the service sucked, so I tried it again. It was worse than last time. I tried to make reservations but their phone was broken. It took over an 1 1/2 hours to finish our meal, because the servers are so slow. The bathroom was broken so you had sewage flowing into the ...

Horrible!Horrible! I drove over 300 miles to visit with my friends in the area and Ciao Bella was supposed to be the wonderful, memorable moment of the trip. The website does not represent reality at all. Above all, the service is horrible! Once we were seated at our table we placed our drink orders – it was 15 minutes later that we got our ...

POOR POOR SERVICE. Myself and 3 of my friends came from long distances to eat at this restaurant with high expectations only to be let down horribly. They only filled our water glasses once. One of my friends GOT UP and found the water pitcher on her own. We asked for a second helping of bread twice. And we didn't see our waitress for a whole ...

If you are ready for an adventure then Ciao is the place. If you don't have a couple of hours to spend and are short on patience than this is not the place for you. Service is slow as it is a dining experience not a "BLOW AND GO" The first time my wife and I went we were there for alost 3hrs.

You will walk into and interesting ...

If you enjoy blowing the minds of out-of-town friends and family, then Ciao Bella is THE place to take them out for dinner. This most awesome, entertaining and unusual local restaurant not only offers up excellent, fresh Italian faire with it's own unique stamp, but also provides a most entertaining evening via the off-the-wall personalities ...

  • I will never go back again
    By C Evans, 08/12/07
Absolutely terrible. I have been to Ciao Bella no less than 20 times, but after last nights terrible quality of food and extremely rude service I will not return. In the past the service and staff were always poor/sketchy, but the excellent quality of entree's and deserts had been its saving grace. Last night we left without finishing our ...

  • NEVER GO IF TAD IS NOT THERE!
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/15/07
This was the second time that I went there when Tad (the owner of Ciao Bella) was not there. When he is not there the service is horrible, and there is no entertainment. Tad is a fun performer to watch and his employees are on the ball when he is around.
So when you make your reservations make sure you ask if Tad will be in, if not avoid like the plague!!!

  • 'Tis alright..

Ciao Bella is a surprise amid the redwoods in SL Valley.. The food is somewhat limited to the menu, the desserts are fantastic, and the atmosphere of staff in general is fun.. Though, it can be hectic and crowded, as the restaurant is small in structure.. (Tho, they've recently added more outdoor dining on a new patio).. Tad, the owner, is a ...

  • Don't waste your time or money here!
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/22/07
Because this place was the WORST experience, I used to work in a restraunt, and I would know that people should not be treated like the way we were. We have made numberous checks with the employees that we had reservations, and when we arrived, they said that they never make reservations. They said that they "tried" to call the phone ...
