One big ass salad split between two people for 7.50 and an amazing drink of fresh fruit. The place looks great. Lots of hot berkely guys to be seen in the room at times. Inexpensive and health conscious food. Great atmosphere. Great place to eat after the gym or yoga as you know you are doing your body right!

you get your money's worth at this place. The salads are huge, the sandwiches are incredible and the deals are amazing. For $5 you can eat your fill. And it's all good for you.

The very best salads

These salads can feed you for a few days...not only are they great salads but each salad is served with some wholesome and tasty bread. If you are in the mood for great salads at reasonable prices and a college dining like atmosphere you will enjoy this place.
amazing how this little well established cafe continues to operate with such large servings of fresh foods. second to none (SF Bay Area) in sandwichs is the fresh bread that is "home made." Although Telegraph Ave is going through a significant transformation, this plot is ace on in terms of good atmosphere, cheap eats, and well above par food quality.
I've been coming here for 7-8 years. The salads and dressings are the best. Lines can be long after 11:30. Sandwiches are great too. One thing to remember is to check your order if it's to go. Staff changes frequently, and sometimes they forget dressings & sandwich meat can be inconsistent

Sandwiches and Salads Bigger Than Your Head

The vases are glued to the tables, but this place is packed and rightly so--you get a LOT of food, regardless of what you order, for the money. A Berkeley must-see when you visit.

The Best Sandwich, Soup & Salad Place!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/25/05
The food is worth the $6 (if you get a combo). I usually get a 1/2 sandwich and salad. The wheat bread is the best I've ever tasted and I love their poppy seed dressing! The line can be a bit long during peak hours, but I think it's definitely worth the wait.
A friend recommeded this place for lunch ,, You really get you moneys worth . The food is great and fresh. We preordered by phone and oucked it up . Otherwise you have to wait in long lines.. But it's worth it ..
