New Mecca is one of my favorite restaurants to eat at. I have been eating there for many years and now my daughter and the rest of my family loves it too. It may be salty sometimes, but otherwise, it's good. It's better than all of the mexican restaurants in pittsburg.

I've never been to the restaurant, but my church often has them cater for various functions. Although I do seem to agree with what some people say here that the bean dip is great, thats pretty much it. I do not like the food, I only have some of it sometimes if I am really hungry, and sometimes I am because I work at volunteer at events often. ...

This year alone~ we have had the mecca at a wedding and two engagement parties. Food is AWESOME!!! The bean dip is FANTASTIC!

My b/f grew up in Pittsburg and had fond memories of this place so of course next time we were in town we checked it out.

While I did like the bean dip...the rest of the food we ordered was just ok (burrito/enchilada) although I told my b/f it was good. Sometimes white lies are ok.

Incredible food and great service catered at a recent birthday party. The experiece was much greater than expected even though our meals and service at the restaurant have all been excellent.

WOW! We had New Mecca cater an event at our church on Sept. 12th for 220 people it was awesome. The price was perfect and I didn't hear one complaint. Everyone loved it. Left overs to send home for our 2 student homes where we have 22 students. Thanks New Mecca it was great food, nicely priced, your driver got here in plenty of time. I had no worries regarding the food.

New Mecca has a funky diner atmosphere and a fine civic-minded owner. But the food is generic and much of it is from Costco. Thre are no fresh chips, salsa, bean dip, etc.. Oil is often not fresh and food is overcooked at times. I've eaten at dozens of Mexican restaurants all over the West and in Mexico. The New Mecca has the least appealing ...

Food is always good and you get a lot to eat. The last persons review said that the bean dip tasted canned. It tasted homemade to me. I love it when they bring the flour chips as well as the corn chips, sometimes you have to ask for the flour chips, mix the salsa with the bean dip, yum!! The only thing I have ever had there that could use ...

For years, this was our favorite place to go for Mexican food. We found some good places closer to us so stopped going quite so often. Last time we went to the New Mecca, the food was not at all like we remembered it. I used to love the bean dip they served with the chips, but last time it just tasted like the canned kind I have at home. Nothing special. With the long wait and the noise etc. it just wasn't worth the trouble to go there.
