THIS PLACE SUCKS! THE SERVICE WAS TERRIBLE! THE HOSTES IS SUPER RUDE. I WOULD NOT RECCOMEND THIS PLACE FOR ANYONE WHO WANTS TO BE ABLE TO DIGEST THEIR FOOD. YOU ARE STILL EATING YOUR PIZZA WHEN THE WAITER PRACTICLY TAKES THE PLATE FROM UNDER YOU. THEY SHOULD RE-NAME IT IN N OUT THATS HOW THEY WANT YOU IN THEN RIGHT BACK OUT! SCREW THIS PLACE I ...

OVERALL

I have eaten at this restaurant three times now in the past six months and don't know why there is so much hype. I have two different pasta dishes (lasagna & bolonese) and pizza and found the pasta to be very bland and the pizza very greasy. It tends to get very noisy and crowded and if you don't get there early expect a long wait.
I've eaten at all of the well-known pizza places in SF, and without question Tommaso's is the best. Sure, it's crowded and a little cramped (not to mention some sketchy neighbors), but the pizza is fantastic - very flavorful sauce and great crust (thin). The rest of the menu is excellent as well. You won't be disappointed.

Best Pizza in the City

The pasta is good as well. Get there early or you will be waiting outside.
If you like pizza, red sauce on anything, a family run ambiance, you won't be disappointed by Tommaso's. They use the best ingredients, prepare things simply and honestly, with an Italian flair. You will always leave happy!
