We were there with some family and our two kids. After you get past Fisherman's Wharf and the Piers and grimy walkways you arrive to find the restuarant looking pretty nice. The staff was extremely nice especially with our two kids. The food was amazing. I recommend the Chiopino or the Calamari.

Last year we celebrated our anniversary at Michael Mina's and the bill was over $400 for two, including a moderately priced (for this restaurant) bottle of wine. This year we celebrated at Scoma's which was where we went on our first date thirty five years ago. The tab was around $125, including a nice wine. We actually enjoyed Scoma's ...

My family owns this restaurant and I think it is the best seafood EVER! Yes it's pricey but you pay for the food and the service. I would much rather take an hour drive to the city and eat there then go to NASTY Red Lobster! You don't know what good seafood is until you try Scoma's! RIP Uncle Al!

Best restaurant I have ever been to! I can't believe the great service they provided and the atmosphere was very relaxing.

The food wasn't a whole lot better than Red Lobster while it was twice as expensive. The ambiance was non-existant. In hindsight, it seems to be a well marketed seafood restaurant on a quite section of a tourist trap.
My suggestion: Don't waste your time at Fisherman's Wharf in the 1st place, but if you do, just walk around, see the sea lions, then head back up into the hills of San Fran and find a nice neighborhood restaurant.

Visited in August last year. The swordfish was great and the wine was good. Nice location, but it's kind of close quarters in the dining area.

The seafood on Fisherman's Wharf is ok. Not great. This is where tourists get overcharged for seafood and since they from elsewhere and have only limited comparable experience, they think its great. Do your homework, there are great seafood places in SF, Sausalito, Berkeley. If you want more quality for your $ check out the others. Scoma's has atmosphere and local history.

This is the best place for garlic chicken pizza and the won ton soup is the best in the city!

I'll start by saying Scoma's in one of my all time favorite restaurants, however, I went there with family & friends on Feb. 17, 2008 and was disappointed. Since there was 7 of us I expected the wait. When we got to the table I found the waitress inattentive and didn't listen closely. We ordered enough Calamri appetizers for the table ...

Love it!!!! My husband took me to Scomas about 5 years ago and now when I go to San Francisco it is the only place I will eat. Excellent food and valet parking available.
