Based on reviews in Yelp and Yahoo, I decided to celebrate my birthday at Albona. My friends and I had a wonderful time - great service and the feeling we were in a small town where people cared about their customers. The food was outstanding - I had the special of the day - lamb chops and they were perfectly cooked. The Chocolate Bonet dessert was the perfect ending to dinner. A great time was had by all and we will certainly return

Very friendly, small, local place with excellent food. Bruno and the staff are very attentive. We really enjoyed the chocolate riccota torte for desert!

I tried Albona this week with some family members. It is a very small and intimate restaurant. The staff is very friendly and the service was very good. Their portions were just the right size and the food was delicious! I would definitely go back and I highly recommend this restaurant.

Read in a few books and on websites that the food is classified as Italian, but dont be expecting noodles with red sauce - there is a heavy Iberian influence. Everyone must come to this place. Everyone must try true Istrian cuisine - which comes from the Croatian, Triestine NE coast of Italy/Adriatic.
