This place is a great find. We have been coming here for 6 years now and have always been very content with the food and service. It's neighborhood bistro appeal keeps us coming for more. It's very quaint, small and most importantly family owned. All of their entrees are very inexpensive averaging under $15. My favorite has to be the grilled NY steak with parsley-lemon butter, potatoes, and fresh locally grown vegetables.

Great, affordable French food in a casual setting

Love this neighborhood place on the weekends, sitting at their outdoor tables for a nice brunch, tucked away off the busy Lombard thoroughfare. Dinners are delicious too, as are the desserts. Great place to meet up with friends and then head out for a walk in the Presidio or on Crissy Field afterwards.

Poor Seating Policy

We arrived on Saturday night at 7:25pm without a reservation (our bad). Hostess informed us there will be an open table inside in 10-15 mins, so we waited outside in the cold. There are 4 open tables inside but were reserved.
8:10pm: she came and informed us they simply cannot give us any of the still open tables because they are reserved. ...
One of The City's best kept secrets! Mostly only locals know of this small French restaurant hidden in the homes area just outside of the busy Marina District. Excellent food and great prices. They have a la carte as well as complete meal menus. I had a complete meal which consisted of onion soup, of course bread, salmon, and chocolate mousse, for less than $15!!!

Great French Restaurant

Great french restaurant off the beaten path. It is a great date place and the brunch is also very good. It is not too pricey but the seats are pretty close to together. The wait staff and host are all french and very friendly in trying to get you seated in a timely manner.

Big on Baker Street Bistro

The warmth of the decor is what I suspect a stereotypically cool Parisian cafe would look like. The wooden paneled walls are tastefully decorated with paintings of color-rich fruits along with smallish bistro tables snugly fitted next to one another. I enjoyed their small dishes --a warm calamari tomato mix, aspargus salad, and pomme frittes. We ...
Cute little French restaurant serving traditional food with a frequently updated menu. Head there on a sunny day for brunch outside at their sidewalk tables. Nighttime transforms it into a romantic (though low-key), candlelit bistro. While not always superb, the food is consistently good and a terrific value.

A nice bistro away from the bustling if Chestnut Street. Stop in for a coffee or a nice lunch or dinner. Friendly wait-staff and good food.
