I love this restaurant. I've lived in Noe Valley for a year and Incanto has become one of my local favorites. Great wine list, and a very interesting menu. I typically get their speciality, pasta with pork ragout. It's delicious.

The food was poor to mediocre. Avoid the seafood stew, it's just a bowl of clams and a couple unpeeled prawns in a puddle of broth. Other dishes were uninspired as well.

I went with a group to Incanto, and overall I would say that the food and ambiance were great, the wine list was nicely done, but in our case the service left a lot to be desired (I blame that on the server, not the restaurant). My main course was the Handkerchief pasta with rustic pork rag. Rustic food .. perfect for fall or winter (or any San Francisco night).

Would definitely recommend this restaurant. Very unique Italian and wonderful wine list. A little pricey, but worth it if you are looking for something off the beaten path. You need reservations, though - this place was recently written up in San Fran mag, and as a result, it is not super easy to get in.
