This is the only restaurant I'm willing to drive to. Definitely the best Vietnamese restaurant in the Richmond. Good food at good prices. All the friends I've turned on to this place loved it and now they even go there without me :-(

It's not Slanted Door, but it also isn't nearly as ostentatious or expensive. The ingredients were extremely fresh and the spices & sauces were just delicious. I had a very enjoyable dinner at Mai's - great service, clean surroundings, fresh food, nice seasonings, & low prices. I had both the fresh and fried vegetable roles on rice noodles. If I had to choose just one, I'd go for the fried ones.
