Great, elegant sushi. quarters are a little tight but the food is fantastic. Get there early to avoid standing outside in the line and braving the SF weather. All though you can get warm sake while you wait. Parking is a little tight but you usually can find a spot in the neighborhoods.
Consistant quality - get there early or you'll be waiting out on the sidewalk. A short walk from the Upper Richmond district between 15th and 17th Ave can't remember which block but right in that area.
The best sushi in the city. Fresh, beautifully prepared.

If you really want to eat authentic sushi, go to Kabuto. The owner is Japanese and he knows what he's doing. If you don't want to wait in line, you should get there by 6pm.

Seems more reliably fresh than Ebisu and the nigiri cuts are bigger

Best Sushi in San Francisco

The sushi is absolutely excellent. Very good hamachi, and some very good creative rolls, including foie gras sushi with raspberry sauce. The service leaves something to be desired, though, and it is not a good place for parties of larger than four. But, for the sushi, it's worth it.
