We went there today and I ordered a Flat Iron Steak. The chef actually brough out the food himself. I happen to like my steaks with ketchup so I asked him for some. He huffed off and walked right past the ketchup without picking it up. I had to ask a waiter to get it for me. What type of employee is he to make a value judgement on how I like my ...

My family and I took a trip to San Fransico. Walking to the Fishermans Warf we thought we would check out this cool Diner....While it was nice inside and the food pretty good, not worth all the hubbub. The servers where friendly enough but nothing to rave about either...For the same money I would rather take my family to Flying Pie Pizza in Portland.....If your in SFdefinatey check it out to add to you SF experience....

The other reviews must be by people who don't get out much. During our recent visit to SF we ate at the Fog City Diner and were very underwhelmed. The place wasn't full and we waited for a table to be put in the back. The service was ok. We really weren't that hungry so we ordered the $12 hamburger. The kid's menu is very ...
One of my faves on the Embarcadero, along with Ozuma and Boulevards. Great fruits de mer - oysters are always top notch. Excellent salads - crab and mango my favorite. Can't miss with other seafood and grill items. Adequate wine list, great bar, love the atmosphere...it never misses.

Be prepared to spend!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/10/07
I was delighted when we first sat down to see that they offered "small" & "big" plates, I hate to waste all that food that you get at other restaurants! Little did I know when they said small they actually meant tiny....my boyfriend referred to his mac and cheese as coming in a ramikin!
I have never been here but have driven by numerous times and always wondered..a special friend took me there for my BD dinner. We had 7:00pm reservations and as we were at a Tea Tasting in Albany and were having alot of fun we didn't notice the time slip away ..we were late for our reservation,as my friend had requested one of their prime ...

1st time here at this diner.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/21/06
My children 18 and 11 and I we were just walking/passing by on our way to the Coit Tower stairs all 391 of them. The outside of this diner seemed like a casual place to eat with it's white and black checkered tiles on the outside walls. When I looked at the menu it was not quite the burger and fries place I thought it would be. They had a ...

Had a bad seat
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/06/05
I didn't have a good experience here. My party was seated very close to the restroom. The smell of the restroom was very strong. That totally destroy the whole experience. The food is good for it's price. Small plates are really small.

Variety of small and big plates, lots of seafood
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/24/05
Don't expect regular diner food here; it's more on the fancy side, but very yummy. When I saw their website, it looked very touristy, but I think it's actually very charming with its dark-wood diner interior. I've been here 2 or 3 times, and everything I've eaten here is very tasty. I recommend just ordering a lot of small ...

Have eaten in Fog City Diner a few times. Great food and service. The aircon was a little too cold for us Brits.
