By far one of my favorite places. All of the entrees are amazing, you really can not go wrong. It gets pretty crowded on the weekends, so good to go a little earlier to beat the rush.

delfina never disappoints! the pork belly was deliciously crispy on the outside, savory on the inside, and served in a sauce that we hungrily sopped up with the bread. the roast chicken was also flavored very well such that it was very juicy inside. if you're a gnocchi fan (i don't eat much in general, i find it too heavy), then you will ...
The food is good but not enough for the price we paid. We were not full so after dinner, we ordered a party tray of sushi. I would not go back.

Amazing flourless chocolate cake
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/28/06
While I can't speak to dinner or event much of the dessert menu, Delfina's flourless chocolate cake has brought me back many times over the past few years. Its warm and gooey center explodes (hence molten) from its flourless chocolate exterior, and has trumped any similar flourless cake I've tried in the city. They're usually ...

Great experience
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/10/06
This is a great place to sit back, enjoy the scenery and a great meal. the action never slows dow, the waiters practically run back and forth, the kitchen is open and busy and the meals wonderful. do not go here if you want a quiet dinner but if you are after great food in a bsuy room this is your place.

Nice but don't see what all the hype is about
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/28/06
Several friends have raved about Delfina to me, and it's a nice upscale-casual type place, but I wasn't overly impressed. The rabbit gnocchi I had was excellent, as was the reduced minestrone & bread appetizer. But everything else was. . .fine. I should say the wine list was excellent - a thoughtful range of bottles clearly well-matched to the menu. Appreciated that they had a Bellini on the menu as an apertif!

The real thing away from Italy
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/12/06
I was really pleased with Deflina. Although it is almost impossble to get a table on short-notice, we managed to get seats at the bar on the night of with only a 20 min wait. My food, "stretched" Mozzarella as a starter, quail & polenta as a main, and profiteroles as dessert, were all of superb quality and tasted great. An excellent (and ...
Service A+ Food A+ The only downside it was a bit cramped & the noise level is a bit high.

among my favorites in san francisco
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/03/06
Love it! Excellent food focussing on fresh ingredients. The only thing I dont like about it is the usually-long wait.
Pros: very good pastas, excellent organic meats, jetsetter atmosphere
Cons: having to make reservations in advance, parking
(update as of jan 2006 - the last time i went, something was wrong - the chef seriously over-salted everything, and my dessert was just so-so. bummer).
