i love the food and the wine. great service in the restaurant, but drinking and dining at the wine bar are also splendid. Sunday - Thursday 5:30 - 7:00pm: $1 oysters and $5 wines and sake cocktails
Happy Hour Sunday (extended hours!) 4:30 - 7:00pm
**happy hour offerings not available at special events and during holidays**

i heard a rumor you can byob with no corkage fee at monday happy hour. call eos to verify.

Lately, I've found that I'd rather eat at the wine bar than the restaurant. It keeps your company limited to a small group and feels more intimate. The mushroom dumplings are so divine, I often wonder what's the point in ordering anything else? But you really should come back to try everything once. Not only is it all delicious, it gives you an excuse to pick up an order of their chewy ginger cookies to-go!

  • Cole Valley Gem

EOS is one of the best restaurants in Cole Valley, combining great wine with comfortable. asian fusion food. The service is accommodating and the best part is the great wine bar next door to the restaurant.

  • Weak wines

I might have gotten particularly unlucky with my choice of open whites, but neither the Riesling nor the Pinto Gris or Chardonnay were even remotely special, which I think is a no-go for a wine bar with only approx. 10 open whites. The waiter also did not strike me as very knowledgable. The food was only "ok" to good, if a little pricey. ...

  • Always there

I like the coziness of this place and the service is fabulous. The menu is well balanced and their servers are on top of things. This is a place to bring in a date or a colleague.

It's hard to find that comfortable, sophisticated and upbeat place that nice enough to take a date, but fine for a casual evening drink with a friend too. EOS brings it all together; food, ambience, great wine and a casual scene. It's refreshing in a city with little staying power for the little neighborhood meeting place. And, if they do stay usual those of us who could stick it out too can't afford it. EOS is worth a return trip.

  • yummy fusion food, great wine bar
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/01/05
like the name says, eos is a restaurant and wine bar. you enter the restaurant on the corner, and the wine bar is in an adjoining building next door. they share a kitchen. everything we've had here has been wonderful, but especially the tea smoked duck and chicken in clay pot which was amazingly tender and just fell off the bone. you can't ...

  • Love the Wine Bar located around the corner
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/31/05
If you go to EOS and you want to experience a good place to taste a flight of wines and have an opportunity to talk wines with the bartender then go to the EOS wine bar behind the restaurant...entrance is around the corner from the restaurant entrance. They serve the entire restaurant menu in a more laid back wine focused place.
