After a successful handling of a recent high ticket item installation at my house, I all of a sudden had extra money to blow and I must say that I am very happy camper having eaten at this restaurant. I was looking for a special place to take my grandma and after much research, I figured this restaurant has that old school classy feel she'll ...

Simply the best prime rib West (and probably East) of the Rockies. When I was there last year, the service was excellent (earning the server a fat tip.) Oh, and did I mention the excellent prime rib. Delicious. Places like this need to stay in business.

I believe my husband knows the maitre d' at the House of Prime Rib. I suspect they also have our telephone numbers, and perhaps a variety of information in their in-house database too because when my husband came in last week and ordered 3 prime rib dinners to go, a portion of the order was forgotten by the kitchen. They weren't able to ...

I must be honest.... its worth being there but getting there seems to be a real problem, you have to book it in advance and also need to be flexible about your timing.... now this becomes a real problem if you planning a big get together, anyway after all these I must say again its worth all the pain!

I have been going to the House of Prime Rib for 25 of my 33 years of life and please remember it is the HOUSE OF PRIME RIB, not a steak house. When I was younger less people went there and the service had been excellent. However, since their notoriety has increased the service has slightly diminished. Also, the prime rib is not the same if you ...

The House of Prime Rib is one of my all-time favorites. My wife and I are prime rib snobs, and we've always loved the House of PR. It's a slice of the City, and the elegance is natural. Although the slabs are sometimes a little fatty and the temperature may not always be perfect, the quality of the meat is great. I think for a really good piece of meat in San Fran, this is a good spot, for sure.

I have dined there 3 times when traveling to SF. Everytime has been a disappointment. The prime rib is fatty, usually cold, served in one of the loudest restaurants I hav been in. I have always had high hopes that this time would be "the" time. Nope. There are better alternatives in SF, spend your money elswhere.

This is the only place I will eat Prime Rib. I look forward to visiting my daughter in San Francisco and have designated House of Prime Rib as "Our Place". Not only is it the best prime rib ever, the service is great. Call for reservations though!

I went to this place for the first time and cannot believe that I had not gone there sooner. They don't have much to choose from but all the food is great and the ambiance is good for large or small groups! Am looking forward to going there many more times.
