Based on others' reviews, this was a place I had on my list to visit while in the area. I wasn't disappointed!

Never again... We're Asians too but don't speak chinese. My grp. (5 of us)was told to wait to be seated. However, there were 5-6 groups of people came after us that got tables right away just because they speak the language!!! Go two blocks further to House of Nanking, Ming's Seafood or Youngs Cafe for better service and
half the price..

I lived in Hong Kong for 17 years and had an opportunity to taste some excellent Chinese cuisine. When I returned to San Francisco I asked some of my Chinese collegues what restaurant they preferred and they all recommended R&G. I have never been disappointed by the quality of their food or their service. I have gone there as a single, with 2-3 guests, and in large groups.

I completely love this place. I mean how often is it that you find a Chinese restaurant with good food AND clean bathrooms? We come here for every birthday/any celebration and its within walking distance from the Portsmouth garage so parking is pretty good. Plus with big parties, they'll usually give you a private room rather than cram you all into one big table in the middle or corner of the big dining room. You can't beat this place!
