This isn't your North Beach Italian...
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/06/05
Acquerello is, by far, the best Italian restaurant in San Francisco. This is not the checkered tablecloth, family-style Italian of North Beach. Acquerello could be called "gourmet" Italian. Amazingly rich flavors, impeccable service, a wonderful wine list, and one of my my favorite host/owners, Giancarlo. My only knock is the slightly dated decor.
This restaurant is always a fantastic place for dinner. I have been here several times and it is always has impeccable service and fabulous food. The best thing is that it is quiet enough to talk to the person you are dining with, in a normal tone of voice. Beautiful experience every time.
