This has to be the most over-hyped restaurant in all of San Francisco!! The food was fine, but this place is ridiculously expensive. I had never before spent half as much on dim sum as I spent on my one meal at Yank Sing. One item we ordered was $16! $16 for dim sum!! There are a number of other places in the City where the dim sum is as good or better, at much better prices.

I'm not quite sure why there are rave reviews of Yank Sing. Save yourself some money and go to Mayflower on Geary between 26th and 27th. Don't bother with Tong Kiang either it's more catered to tourists

This is the best Dim Sum. Great place, good atmosphere, food is tops. Bring money, it's a little pricey.

this is a high quality "upper crust" dim sum that has great food. it lacks the charm of an authentic dim sum establishment brimming with Chinese clientele, but makes up for it being having many vegetarian options and being friendly to those less brave of heart. Oh and the food is delicious!

I love me some Yank Sing. I've been to some of the dim sum houses from here to Sacramento and have always been left wanting. Most places will stick to the pork/shrimp dishes, but I don't eat either one of them, so I'm left with some rice and green beans. Yank Sing has lots of veggie friendly dim sum as well as alternative takes on ...
