Overall we had a wonderful experience at the Morton's steakhouse, I have being to a number of steak houses all over the west coast and my experience at this Morton's was memorable. If your into good wine without any consideration for the price, then this is the place to go, the lighting was perfect and had a romantic setting, you could be ...

Morton is ok. You want the best steakhouse in San Francisco? Go to el Raigon on Union St, it's an Argentine/Uruguayan steakhouse. Their meats come from Estancia style range raised beef cooked in house on a charcoal grille...and believe me, Morton's has nothing on them.
I've only been here once, and with a large group for a friend's birthday, but my experience was a positive one. The wait staff was very friendly to us, and very patient considering we were being somewhat loud and slow. The steak was good - not "oh my god this is the best ever" but probably better than Ruth's Chris. We took our time and ate at a comfortable pace, and the evening was definitely enjoyable.

My new favorite Steakhouse!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/25/07
My wife and I were celebrating our first wedding anniversary and we really didn't want to go to any of our usual spots. My co-worker kept telling me about Morton's so we decide to check it out. I'm so glad we did! Everyone greeted us a happy anniversary and even set up our table with a happy anniversary decor. The food was ...

It's just dinner
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/16/07
I've been waiting to go to Morton's because I've heard so many great things about them. Our dinner was on Valentine's day where I ordered the special, lobster tail & filet mignon accompanied with string beans. My dinner special also included a caesar salad. For appetizers we ordered the tuna tartare that looked magnificent and ...

After visits to several Morton's all over the US, I still find the Frisco one the best.

Food is so-so; Service is good
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/22/06
When you go to a steakhouse, the steaks should be the stars but I'm not impressed with Morton's steaks at all. The boneless rib-eye is overcooked and the fat is not even. It tastes too dry at spots and too fatty at others. The porterhouse is average but is of big portion. The sauteed onion was over-seasoned. The lobster bisque is OK. The ...

Probably won't go back
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/04/06
I loved this place the first time I went. The second time the food and service was just plain lousy!
Everything here is BIG including the desserts. Our server overall was great, presentation of the meats and veggies were nice, but the service was a bit inconsistent. It was a very busy Holiday Friday night. We will certainly return for another "cardiac arrest" steak. Overall a very nice Birthday experience.

Fresh American - Style Cuisine
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/04/05
Fresh food and fresh menu service make this a "special" steak house. The food is fresh & well prepared, very tasty. The menu presentation is personal and fun. A great selection of wines and cocktails. The lighting was a little dim and it's a bit pricey...but overall it is a fun dining experience. I have not visited any steak house like it in the USA. We will dine again at Morton's.
