Amarin has definitely slipped a lot in the past few years. Not sure if they have changed cooks but the flavors are now very bland and not as tasty as before. Also, they're skimping on the portions. Very disappointing fall for what once was a terrific place.

Food is good but not extraordinary. I didn't find any dish here that I could not find in other well-known places. But the service is what I didn't like about this place. The waitress was rude, knew very little English and often times was ignoring us. I needed water and tried to grab her attention a few times by making eye contacts and ...

Great service and a great meal. We get their vegetarian dishes and really enjoyed the pad thai.

Their Panang Curry veggie has nothing but Tofu and sauce. Very poor quality. It was not tasty at all. Try their neighbor restaurant King Of Krung Siam. Their food is very tasty and well worth the money. These people serve egg roll with Lunch special, but not Amarin.

For people who like Panang Chicken, Yellow Curry chicken, Chicken Pad thai, Amarin seems really good. I enjoy the meals I have had there, although the service can be a little slow at times. It has a good environment, and it's really pleasant on lazy summer evenings when you can sit out on the patio and enjoy your meal with the mountain view downtime nightlife going on around you.

I ordered the Bangkok Chicken for $11.95. The plate that was delivered to my table had no chicken or meat of any kind on it. The fact that I had to send the plate back to the kitchen to get what I ordered ruined my dinner. The other order of Tofu Mixed Veggies was small by comparison and was not worth the $8.95. I will never eat there again.

Went here for lunch. The food was good until about half way through my meal I found half a cockroach in my food. Don't ask where the other half went!

We ate here with my family and my daughter is vegan. Requested a vegetarian tom gar gai soup. All of a sudden she let out a sharp cry b /c her gums were scraped by a part of a mussel shell. They were not super apologetic, kinda "laissez faire" but did ask if she wanted a dessert w/ bannana and ice cream...the coconut ice cream ...

Apparently these folks don't understand the instructions - "No egg, no meat, no chicken, no fish/seafood." Happened for the 3rd time today. What a waste! Food is good, but if these guys don't understand English or need hand-holding I'm taking my business to other Thai restaurants :-(
Darn, I can't rate them 0/5

This is my second favorite Thai restaurant in the Bay Area. The service is really good and the food is excellent. The only drawback is the down town Mountain View parking.
