I prefer Piacere to it's noisy neighbor across the street, Town. I've come here a few times with and without family and have found the food and service to be quite good. An extra touch was the chef coming out and giving my 4-year-old son a ball of pizza dough to play with (a good trick that kept him occupied for the bulk of the meal).

Overall - An average family dining experience. Price - was reasonable, at roughly $65.00 for two. Atmosphere - Very nice Wait - 5 to 10 minutes (no reservation) Quality of food - Good Quantity of food - Average
We enjoyed the dining experience, but would not go out of the way to do it again.

The food is very good - we have eaten there many times since renovation a couple of years ago and have never had a problem with service. Very good bar drinks and dishes use season ingredients.
Recent minor change to the bar opens the place up even more and made the back room a nicer place to sit and eat.
We have never had to wait for a table - with or without a reservation - and have always had very attentive waiters.

Seemed good.

Nice atmosphere. The carpeting and the fabric covered walls kept things hushed, until a band started up.
I had gnocchi. It was fine. Service was efficient, but perhaps I was paying more attention to my friends.
Don't know if I'd go much out of my way to go again, but if I lived in the vicinity and wanted to take parents or people to impress (if only slightly), it would be the place to go.
We are very laid back, will let almost anything slide, and have NEVER complained about food or service at a restaurant. But this place was ridiculous.
Highlights include: -booked reservation on opentable, provided credit card to guarantee, and confirmed reservation by phone - arrived at restuarant to find long line of irate customers - but it ...
Seated at 7:25 for dinner, with 2 others in the party. Took the sidewalk seating, which was probably a mistake. Got watered and breaded in 20 minutes, but no server. Went inside and asked the manager if he could have a server come out and take our order for drinks/dinner. 10 minutes later, one showed up to take the order. 20 minutes later, still ...

Great atmoshpere, so-so food
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/09/06
The decor is very trendy, with a cool bar, plasma tvs, and an awesom veranda. Unlike the restaurant directly across the street, Town, seating is often available on a walk up basis, and the restaurant is relatively quiet (Town is almost always hopping and, as a result, quite loud).
Unfortunately, I was unimpressed with the food. The Caesar ...

Newly Renovated
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/02/05
I visited this renovated restaurant for the first time since it reopened. It was beautifully done. The service was excellent. The wine list was good, and the waiter made good suggestions on the pairing.
The food was just average for the price. I had pork and it was tough and flavorless. My guests had fish and steak...which looked better...but all agreed wasn't spectacular.
