Indian is one of my favorite cuisines and I have only ever had not so great Indian food once at the Ganges vegetarian Indian restaurant in SF. It's very difficult to go wrong w/ Indian food I find. Saffron isn't an better then any other Indian restaurant, but they do have a few unique menu items. My main issue was the lack of options. They ...

Here's a great $15 dinner buffet that you must try. The food is consistently good, the service is solid, and the location is great if you're anywhere near Belmont, San Carlos, etc.

Plus, they deliver. Who ever heard of that. An Indian joint, that's good, that delivers.

Hit this place up - you won't be disappointed.

  • Best Indian Food Ever

Saffron may change how you feel about Indian food. If you already like Indian food, you will love Saffron. Even if you think you don't like Indian food, you should give Saffron a try. While I agree that their dinner prices can be a tad high ($2-3 higher that other restaurants) Their best value is their buffet lunch for about $10 per person. All in all this is a great addition to the neighborhood.

I cant wait to try their sister ...

  • Tasty but pricey
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/11/06
We've taken out from Saffron twice, and both times I was struck by the price. While the food is good, I'm not sure it justifies the price. Extra rice, for example is an additional $4-$5. It may be a better deal if you eat in rather than take out.
