NOT a vegetarian restaurant
I'm sure this is a great fish restaurant but it is extremely misleading to list it under "vegetarian restaurants". I looked at the menu and there were no vegetarian appetizers or entrees. There were two side salads (out of 5) that did not have meat or fish, however they both contained cheese (so no vegan option at all). We will not be eating here on our trip to Monterey.

we happened to stumble onto passionfish during our winter road trip down highway one and we would gladly return any time we're in the area. the quality to price ratio was one of the best we've ever encountered, thanks in part to their philosophy of charging essentially retail cost for their wines.

The food is excellent and inventive. The seafood is fresh and the sauces are not overpowering, allowing you to enjoy the flavor of the fish. The prices are reasonable considering the level of service and the quality of the menu. The wine list is long and the staff is knowledgable. Three of us had a 4 course meal with a bottle of wine for about $40 a person.

My family had a wonderful time every time we go to Passionfish. Great food and great service.
