My family has eaten at the Little Mermaid several times thru the years, during many visits to the area. This time the pork was dry and tough. The red cabbage and sausage was as great as always.

Avoid the Little Mermaid restaurant unless you like a dirty restaurant with surly waitresses and waiting a VERY long time for your food. Quaint little place with good service, good food. Prices are not bad either. Seems to be pretty authentic cuisine. Danish sausage was excellent! So was the red cabbage! :)

This is a great place. The open-faced sandwiches are great - and authentic. This is the best place to have them in Solvang. The yellow building is really quaint and cute from the outside - and the down-home feel on the inside is nice too.
