Uptown was the first place I went into when I moved to SLO in 1996. There were a lot fewer customers then, but it was the place everyone went to meet people. Great coffee, great people, Randy was into bikes, and I haven't stopped going back. Motorcycle parking, free wireless, and a cool (warm?) see-through fireplace make it a great place to hang.

The coffee and tea... the best in town. The baked goods are made fresh each day. The staff is always polite and very willing to make your drink just the way you want. There is a fireplace going on cool days and there are plenty of chairs & tables inside or out. Go have a cup of "Velvet Foam" and relax, you'll be hooked!!
