We've tried every sushi restaurant in the Costa Mesa/Newport area and this was our favorite. The sushi is unbelievably fresh and the staff makes you feel right at home. The clean and friendly environment keeps us coming back for more. The happy hour drink specials from 5:30-7pm are pretty hard to beat....$1.50 beer and wine!!

I went to Tabent today cuz I saw good reviews here but it was little disappointing. Their service was very slow. I had to wait for food for 30 minuets and my last order did not served at the end.(they probably forgot)
Sushi is OK but their sushi is not as good as real what I had in Japan. They slice fish too thick and some of them are not fresh. ...

Like: The sushi is well prepared with exotic presentation, freshness and quality.
Dislike: The service is little slow but understandable for making sushi.

Cool, clean and fresh. Rice is so good, too. Everything is excellent!

No wonder why all the other peeps gave this restaurant a 5 star rate!!! nice atmosphere and service.....Most of all,,,, F~oods are great!!!! Peeps should just go and try it for yourself! ! Kanppai~~~~~!!

The sushi is mouthwatering, melts in your mouth. The food here overall is just fantastic. I recomend the Tuna steak also. It is excellent! The best I ever had.

I saw the good reviews on this site, so I took my gf and friends to this restaurant. This restaurant provides the same food you would get from Japan. A wonderful authentic atmosphere and incredible food. Thanks, guys.

Although this place is small, the food is always fabulous and fresh and the atmosphere is comfortable. The rice was so delicious, too.

Tabento is probably the best sushi place i have been to. The service is great and the environment is very welcoming. The fish is very fresh and the price is reasonable. For a true sushi experience, tabento is the place to be.
