wheelchair accessibilityThe Orchid Garden is wheelchair accessible which is necessary for me. The rooms are large and comfortable. We bought the meal plan which was good for us as so many restaurants are upstairs. The food was excellent and we enjoyed both breakfast and dinner. The Orchid Garden....more than just a nights sleepFirst of all, the staff is just excellent. I could not have felt more at home.
We had breakfast and dinner there. I have also heard that the food was very good there, and that was definately true. Nothing I would have expected in Belize. Not only was the dining areas presentation wonderful, but so was the food.

It's so good we're still here!My wife and I booked their 28 day tryBelize programme for February 2008. We had decided to sell up in the UK and retire to Belize. We're having a cabana built in the rainforest in the Cayo district; but it's about a year behind schedule, so we needed somewhere to rent in the mean time.

wonderful getaway1. enjoyable, interesting, quiet environment
2. all meals were 5-Star excellent; dining area is unique
3. Eco-Village provided a package that included airport transfers, a guide to accompany us to cave tubing, ziplining, Maya ruins at Lamanai, and a tour of their own lovely facility
4. no U.S. television programming
5. buildings are older, but clean and well-kept
