I just had a very delicious meal at this place. A newspaper ad for 32 dinner entrees for $9.99, includes Soup or Salad plus Dessert, caught my eye. Touting itself as "House of Lamb" clinched the decision. Upon entering you feel as if you are in a very family friendly old school Palm Springs trattoria. The meals all start with a basket ...

First and last visit. I had the supposedly thick lamb chops. They were not thick and looked and tasted burned. One of our friends had the eggplant parmesan which was tough and over cooked. The other friend had the veal parmesan which was tough. I never in my life saw tough veal until tonight. My wife had the lamb shank which she enjoyed. ...

After hearing rave reviews and recommendations for this place, we finally tried it.

    The good.
Upon arrival we were promptly seated and were provided with our drinks and bread. A few minutes later Bill (the owner) came to the table and greeted us. Very friendly and the ambiance was fantastic.

    The not so good...
After two refills of drinks ...

Heard about this place from several people at our resort who have visited Palm Springs for many years. Well worth the short drive on the 111/Palm Canyon to get there. We had great tasting Italian and lamb dishes. The marinara sauce is really sweet, we asked for more to dip our bread baskets. Dessert special is enough to split between four people, which is what we did, and still could not finish. Restaurant does not open till 4 PM.

The waiter gave us all of 10 seconds to decide what we wanted to eat. Even after asking for more time, we were pressured so much that we hastily decided on the Lasagne and Tortellini. My Tortellini was ...

I have eaten at The Red Tomato & Original House of Lamb on several occasions. It has been consistently superb on each occasion. The amuse given at the beginning is original and very flavorful. Whatever I have ordered has been exactly as described in the menu and just as good as "momma used to make." The patrons are as diverse as ...

We were driving by and saw the sign "Red Tomato & House of Lamb". I knew this was the place to stop and eat. The food was so good. My daughter had a pasta dinner that was wonderful. I had the special which was a meat Loaf like I've never had. The meat loaf was seasoned with spices that made me think I was in heaven. We ate 2 more ...
