Oh my. Nothing special here. Place was clean. Food was OK. I had a basic breakfast - buttermilk cakes, 2 eggs over easy, bacon and coffee. 13 dollars. Most remarkable feature was the clean silverware. It was really clean....

Excellent food. I love breakfast food. If you're new to this, you must try the German pancake.

The Original Pancake House is awesome! We went this morning and had about a 15 minute wait for our table. The waitress arrived as soon as we sat down. This restaurant used to be good, but it is going downhill... the "sweet" pancakes are starting to taste bitter all too often and the coffee is tasteless colored water. That and the normal 20-30 minute wait at the weekends is not tempting m to go back any more.

When I visit my daughter nearby, I like to go there for breakfast and order a "Dutch Baby". A kind of a puffy pancake that is baked. It is served with butter, powdered sugar and lemon. It comes in two sizes, the larger one is called a "German Pancake", I believe, and it is big. The rest of the menu is standard coffee shop. Most of the time there is a wait unless you go early.

Ewww! I used to love this place, but evidently something has changed! I went with a friend this morning and it was disgusting. He ordered an omelette "well done" and the center was so raw that it bubbled up runny through the top! I had the Eggs Benedict which were actually OK, but the potato pancakes on the side tasted disgusting. I have had the potato pancakes before and they have always been tasty. No way will I go back again.

My wife and I discovered this restaurant in 2003 and have been regular diners, every weekend, since. The servers are fast, personable and hard working so please tip them well.
