Ordered the calamari as a starter and decided to close check and eat somewhere else. the calamari was not very good, and there was a guy playing live that may as well have been playing on the street corner outside, he was not good... kinda annoying actually. Not very good service as well.OVERALL

We went on a whim, we felt like having a good seafood meal. what we got was some "buckets" fill 90%% full of paper and a few small, tough lobsters on the top.
same with the shrimp. the salad bar HORRIBLE, the ambiance LOUd, the service PASSABLE
never, EVER again. they are over priced, and you get very little for your dollar.

First time to San Diego - we walked the streets of San Diego and spotted the Rockin Baja Lobster and noted that we should give it a try during our visit. We ordered the Shrimp and Lobster bucket, noted the servers recommendation. In our opinon the shrimp was far better than the lobster. On our next trip we will just get a shirmp bucket. Parking is a plus at any old town location and this one has it's own lot. The food is good following after the name blending Mexican cuisine with something they call "Puerto Nuevo Flash!" Their signature is the bucket full of food. The atmosphere is "lively" but not so much to leave the kids home. Groups like to go here ...SHOW FULL REVIEWOVERALL

The Salsa Bar is AddictingEverytime we go out in San Diego, we go straight to Rockin Baja Lobster. I LOVE the fresh tortillas and salsa bar. I go onto their website and print out a coupon to maximize my value. The prices are very reasonable for the amount of food you get. The food is fantastic! The drinks are great. Even my very picky kids love the place. The one in old town is our favorite, but there is also one in the gaslamp district and a few other locations.0 of 1 Yahoo!
