After a problem with our meal I contacted the owner the next day by phone. Without a doubt, the rudest person I have ever had contact with in the restaurant business. She, Mellissa, said she didn't care about the problem and didn't have time to discuss it.
I will never return and recommend other restaurants in the area.

The terrible hamburger was only eclipsed by the rude and condescending waiter. Overpriced, overcooked and served in a shabby manner. This was the last time I will ever go to Crest Cafe.
The bright side...there are wonderful restaurants within a bland hamburgers throw from the place.

Don't go here unless you are part of the local Hillcrest community. Outsiders are not welcome. And definately not welcome if you are heterosexual. Rudest waiters ever witnessed. Food is average. Lack of service ruins the food.

I always enjoy Crest Cafe when I am in San Diego and have taken many a friend there. I always find the food to be appetizing and the portions large and generous. I don't eat a lot at one setting so I almost always have enough food for a midnight snack or lunch the next day. I would heartily recommend Crest Cafe to anyone!

I have always enjoyed the food at Crest Cafe. The service there is impecable and the food is yummy. If any of my friends come to San Diego for a visit, this is where I take them. I appreciate everything about Crest Cafe and their cooks are the best!
