I go here frequently as I live nearby and it's convenient. It's a bit expensive, and frankly, I do not understand the rave reviews at all. They usually only have a handful of non-fried options and when they do have it the fish is generally tough when it shouldn't be. As far as the fried fish, it's actually quite bad. No one who ...

Great fish but a little too much fried food. I prefer the grilled fish of El Pescador on Pearl St. in La Jolla.

Am recommending it to all my friends !: I thought the place was pretty good ! The prices were reasonable for what you got ! I had the fried shrimp plate. Good combo plate . I was there right in the middle of the lunch rush and was served in a timely manor ! Only complaint was the parking ! Very tight parking ! Other than that I'm telling all my ...

Pt Loma Seafood Delight
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/22/06
Pt Loma Seafoods slogon, 'The Freshest Thing in Town' is perfect. As a Pt Loma native but now an east county resident I've been completely spoiled when it comes to seafood. There simply is NOTHING that comes close to Jack and companies fare. Supremely fresh, inexpensive, and a relaxed ambience, it embodies early "small ...
When I use to work in Point Loma, I would sometimes go to Point Loma Seafood for lunch. Their crab sandwiches and fries are excellent. It's a little on the steep side when it comes to the price, but it's worth it.

Just walking up to the Counter
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/03/06
I really love the atmosphere of this place, took a while getting use to just walking up and ordering... but I learned. The seafood is great! I love getting a brick of sashimi grade ahi and a spicy tuna roll to go. The fried fish sandwhiches are soso but the tunafish is great.
Being from New England, finding comparable seafood in SD is difficult.
PLSF received such good reviews, I had to try it. Sadly, it was not fresh, as in the fried food was frozen, pre-battered stuff like you'd find at Denny's, and the New England Clam Chowder was nothing like the real deal. I really hope this is not the best seafood ...
Point Loma Seafoods has the BEST food...I always eat the crab sandwich. They put a lot of crab between 2 pieces of fresh San Diego bakes sourdough bread and it is the best!! Everything at Point Loma Seafoods is fantastic!!
This place is unbelievable. The New England clam chowder is breath-taking, but you need to order it to go (you get more chowder that way). All of the sandwiches are ginormous and they are very affordable...even for the college student. Only drawback...they aren't open 24 hours
